Bush Live Tour 2019! Bush are a British rock band from London, England. They formed in London in 1992 and cover the genres of Alternative rock, post-grunge and grunge.
Bush consists of four talented members, Gavin Rossdale, Robin
Goodridge, Chris Traynor and Corey Britz. The British boys formed after Gavin Rossdale departed from his former band, named, Midnight. He met former guitarist for the band King Blank guitarist Nigel Pulsford in 1992 and the pair decided formulate a band. Once the pair had found their feet they went on to take on bass guitarist Dave Parsons and drummer Robin Goodridge.
Once complete, the band had to chose a name, interestingly, they decided on the name “Bush”, which was based on the place named, Shepherd’s Bush in London, which was a main meeting place for the band.
The band released their debut album which was named “Sixteen Stone” in 1994 which notably peaked at number 4 on America’s the Billboard Music Charts. Furthermore, their second album, released two years ago, titled, “Razorblade suitcase”, reached a remarkable number one in America and also reached high in the charts in many countries in Europe.
The British band unfortunately separated in 2002, with an eight year gap. However, after the band made amends and in 2010 they began work on a new album, “The Sea of Memories”. They went on to release this the following year. The album was very successful and their single “The Sound of Winter” made number one, surpassing both the rock and alternative charts.
Slightly Stoopid are an alternative rock band hailing from San Diego, California, USA. The band formed in 1995 and their eclectic brand of summery, genre blending rock & roll has made them one of the biggest cult bands in American rock music.
In a way, this band could only hail from a place called Open Beach. The uniting thing about their music is its sense of carefree abandon; it’s the sound of an endless summer, a spring break that’s everything you could possibly want and more. Needless to say, it’s pretty awesome that way.
One of the most impressive things about the band is that in their nineteen years as a band they’ve been built around the same core duo of founding members, multi-instrumentalists and childhood friends Miles Doughty and Kyle McDonald. Their chemistry and artistry, not to mention their friendship, have been the driving forces behind the band in a way that few bands before or since have replicated.
They formed the band in high school and soon afterwards they were discovered by Sublime frontman Bradley Nowell, who signed them to his label where in 1996, they released their debut album “Slightly $toopid”. They’ve since released a total of seven studio albums but for all their quality and experience as musicians, it’s the bands live show that’s made them the band they are to this day.
Few bands have a more welcoming, inclusive spirit at their shows than Slightly Stoopid, both the founding members of the band credit their fans with making them what they are today. That gratitude is pretty much tangible when they perform, and they give back in turn with every riotous skank, every crowd surfing bass player, and every ounce of positivity they possess.
They may be a cult band, but they’re the kind of cult that welcomes newcomers of all shapes, sizes and colours. Anyone would do very well to be a part of it the next chance they get.
Presenting the artist in a top hat and plaid boxer shorts as he plays piano in the surf amid a smattering of objects like an old-school record player, the surreal cover image for Anderson .Paak’s breakthrough album perfectly suited its wildly inventive contents. Full of witty, unpredictable songs and styles that ranged from ‘60s soul to ‘90s hip-hop to vanguard R&B, ‘Malibu’ became one of 2016’s most acclaimed albums, establishing its creator as a maverick whose imagination can seem virtually limitless. Along with a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album, the album earned Anderson .Paak another Grammy nod for Best New Artist along with similar acknowledgements at the Soul Train Music Awards and the BET Hip Hop Awards.
All that marked a long journey from Anderson .Paak’s first foray into music, which was playing drums in church growing up in Oxnard, California. After coming to Los Angeles, he sought to establish himself as a session musician while creating his own sounds under the moniker Breezy Lovejoy. His fortunes rose when he began working for Shafiq Husayn of Sa-Ra, the revered L.A. hip-hop duo and production team. His new confidence inspired him to drop his former handle in favor of Anderson .Paak, a stylized version of his real name. The buzz got louder with the release of his wildly diverse debut, ‘Venice’ (2014), and his contributions to albums by Dr. Dre and The Game. And while he fully proved his capabilities with ‘Malibu,’ it was ‘Yes Lawd!’ (2016) by NxWorries – his duo with producer Knxwledge – as well as shows with his band The Free Nationals that confirmed he’s just as compelling with close collaborators on hand as when he’s pursuing his singular vision.
His third album and first since signing to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment, ‘Oxnard’ sees Anderson .Paak introduce yet more colors in his palette, beginning with Technicolor textures, carnivalesque soundscape, and his own exuberant flow in “Bubblin’,” the album’s first single. And with his return to stages with The Free Nationals, Anderson .Paak is ready to make good on his reputation as one of the exciting new talents in hip-hop and R&B.
Ben Folds (born as Benjamin Scott Folds) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Born on 12 September 1966 Ben became involved in music at the age of nine when he took an interest in learning how to play the piano; eventually, he spent his free time in high school playing in various bands as a bassist, pianist, or drummer. During the late 80s Ben teamed up with long time friend Millard Powers to form a band called Majosha; and during their short run, they played gigs around Duke University and put out a self-produced EP called “Party Night:Five Songs About Jesus” in 1988. The band, however, parted ways and Ben eventually signed a publishing deal with Nashville Music and worked as a session musician playing drums.
After spending some time living in Nashville and Miami, Ben moved back to North Carolina and formed Ben Folds Five with bassist Robert Sledge, and drummer Darren Jesse in 1994. The following year the trio released their self-titled debut album, followed by “Whatever And Ever Amen” in 1997. The self-described “punk rock for sissies” band did fairly well, but never reached the Billboard Hot 100 chart despite gaining a large following in the UK and Australia. The band continued to tour and put out albums, but in 2001 the band broke up and Ben pursued a solo career; starting with his first album, “Rockin The Suburbs” released in 2001.
After the release of his first album, he continued to put out more music, with a live album in 2002, followed a year later by two EPs called “Speed Graphic” and “Sunny 16.” He also took part in working on film soundtracks, both as producer as well as arranger and musician for said projects. By 2008 he had released six solo LPs and had gone on many tours around the world. His success in the music industry led to him becoming a judge on the US television singing competition “The Sing-Off,” and remained on for a following three more seasons. By 2011 Ben Folds Five reunited and they released “The Sound Of The Life Of The Mind.”
Slipknot is an American heavy metal band from Des Moines, Iowa formed in 1995 by Shawn Crahan and Paul Gray. The band is well known for their elaborate masks and jumpsuits, which accompany their aggressively energetic shows.
Slipknot was formed in 1995 by local Des Moines musicians Shawn Crahan and Paul Gray. The pair brought on other local musicians and started to experiment with their sound. After self-financing their debut album “Mate. Feed. Kill. Repeat.” in 1996 and failing to pick up any major attention, Slipknot changed musical direction and added melodic vocals to their music. The band also went through many line up changes before settling on the core nine members of the group: Sid Wilson, Joey Jordison, Paul Gray, Chris Fehn, Jim Root, Craig Jones, Shawn Crahan, Mick Thomson, and Corey Taylor.
This new musical style and strong set of band members attracted the attention of Roadrunner Records who signed the band for a seven-album deal. The band’s first album on the label, “Slipknot”, was released in 1999 and did favourably on the US album charts for a first album. Nonetheless, the album went on to eventually be certified platinum after the band’s extensive touring schedule picked up hoards of fans between 1999 and 2000.
This large fan-base proved vital with the release of the band’s second album, “Iowa” in 2001, which shot to number one in the UK album charts and hit number three in the US.
Slipknot’s popularity and mainstream success has earned the band recognition from multiple awarding bodies such as the Kerrang! Awards and even the Grammy Awards after the band’s 2005 single “Before I Forget” from their album “Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)” won them an award for Best Metal Performance.
Inspired by the likes of Black Sabbath, Metallica and Led Zeppelin, the band has put its own chaotic stamp on the genre of nu metal. Slipknot is a band that is prepared to constantly experiment and evolve, and their fans love them because of this.
